I am Fernando Saggia, I am an English Teacher, graduated in 2005 in my home country, Paraguay, where I am currently studying Science of Education. I have been teaching in primary, junior and also high school throughout this time. I also have experience as a private tutor for children, adolescents and adults. I am the youngest son in the family. My father is a retired employee of a National Electrical Company in Paraguay; My mother is a housewife. My brother is in the Military, and his sisters are a Psychologist.

I have previously worked as a Camp Counselor and a lifeguard in North Carolina, in 2008. And as a Support Staff at Sea Camp in Florida, this past summer 2011. I was an active firefighter during 2002 to 2004 in Paraguay. I have also visited Brazil and Uruguay to attend some workshops and while vacationing. I enjoy cooking and playing any kind of sports. I also have some knowledge about Paraguayan guitar rhythms and some traditional Paraguayan dancing.

Paraguay has two official languages, Spanish and Guarani, this last one is an aborigine language that has been inherited by Paraguay.  So, the Paraguayan culture is the result of the mix of both languages which can be appreciated in its food, its crafts, its clothes, its dancing and in every aspect of daily life. And Fernando is happy to share it!

Hello! I'm Florencia, I'm 22 and I'm from Argentina, the second largest country in South America by land area, after Brazil.  I live in a big city in the center of the country and I'm looking forward to sharing with you my culture and my country. My family is quite large: I have two sisters and seven brothers aged from 23 to 4. We get along on really well; we are very close, and we support each other. We are like a big team!

I teach English at a binational (America/Argentina) center; I enjoy teaching kids very much because you can teach so many things through a simple game! While they have fun, children learn to respect and help each other, to share and collaborate, to work together, to behave as a team.

In regards to my hobbies, I love the arts, especially music. I used to play piano when I was younger and now the guitar accompanies my singing. I also used to dance tango, one of the Argentinean most famous dances. I enjoy sports and outdoor activities as well: I like athletics, volleyball, swimming, camping, trekking and climbing. Some of my favorite activities at home are cooking, preparing souvenirs for parties, making handcrafts, gardening and playing with the youngest in my family. I look forward to meeting you and the cultural exchange that will happen!

I can be reached at my email or (763) 593-1798.
